REFORMS DESPERATELY WANTED
At the Beginning of the European Grand Prix Summer: Chances and Risks

And at Maranello, who had been superior during Barcelona winter testing, there is not the complete chaos, but pretty much confusion at the beginng of the European season.

Under the modern conditions of technology Grand Prix racing cars can be produced and entered in a CO2-neutral manner. We have to learn to use CO2 as a raw material immidiately, said Professor Klaus Toepfer many years ago. He had been first German Environment Protection Minister before becoming the head of the UNO environment programme based at Nairobi. A return to high revs producing normally-aspirated engines, as a part of the automobile`s great culture, is absolutely possible by using hydrogen or synthetic fuels (made from industry wasted CO2 or organic rubbish). The turbo engine is too low and for this reason it destroys the racing atmosphere, Roger Penske had already said in 1972, when his L & M Porsche 917/10s driven by the US-American Grand Prix drivers Mark Donohue and George Follmer ended the McLaren dominance in CanAm Racing overnight. The complete regulations for the two-seater racing cars of Group 7 were able to be written on three pages.
In contrast to all the transfigurations the conditions were generally not so good in the old days. But only a few ones were. Learning from history is not easy, but it is possible. In spring 2019 it is 25 years ago, when the massacre of Imola 1994 around Roland Ratzenberger and Ayrton Senna had happened. All people killed in action on the tracks we owe, beside personal respect, above all the following demand: Give us back our classical Grand Prix Racing.
